Q.Do you offer courtesy lifts?  Is a fee required?
A.We offer free courtesy lifts to and from Ogoto Onsen Station on the JR Kosei Line.
Q.Do I have to request the courtesy lift in advance?
A.Call us when you get to the station, and we will come and pick you up.
Q.I don't speak Japanese. Can you use any other languages over the phone?
A.English, Chinese and Korean are available.
Q.I don't have a cell phone that I can use in Japan. How can I contact you?
A. use the public phone at Ogoto Onsen Station.
Q.Do you offer a courtesy lift after checking out?
A.We offer the following regular courtesy lifts: To Ogoto Onsen Station at 8:30, 9:10, 10:00 and 11:00, and to Sakamoto Station at 9:25 and 10:30.
Q.Can I use a bathing suit in the bath?
A.We are sorry, but you can't.
Q.Can I use the private open-air bath without staying a night?
A.Please make a reservation. The private open-air bath is available for 50 minutes from 13:00, 14:00 or 15:00.
Q.Is a fee required for the private open-air bath?
A.There is an entrance fee of 1,600 yen per visitor, plus 2,160 yen for the use of the private open-air bath.
Q.Is there a courtesy lift available if I am only using the private open-air bath?
A.We are sorry but it is not available. Please make your own arrangements to access the hotel.
Q.I don't understand which rooms are non-smoking/smoking.
A.Smoking is permitted in standard guest rooms and smoking-permitted rooms in the Gesshin building. Other rooms are non-smoking.
Q.What fees are applicable to children?
A.The accommodation facility fee is payable.
Q.Does this fee include meals and futons for children?
A.It does not include meals and futons.
Q.How much are the additional fees for children's meals and futons?
A.Standard kaiseki dinner: 6,800 yen (excluding tax) for children of 4th grade and over at elementary school, 2,500 yen (excluding tax) for younger children. Breakfast: 1,500 yen (excluding tax). Futon fee is 1,000 yen (excluding tax).
Q.When does the cancellation fee apply?
A.In cases of reservations for 14 persons or less, the cancellation fee applies from 3 days before the day of stay. The cancellation fee is 30% from 2 days to 3 days before the day of stay, 50% on the day before and 100% on the day of the stay. Visit the following URL for more details.
Q.Is there a convenience store near Yumotokan?
A.Yes, it is about two minutes' walk.
Q.Is there a good place for a stroll near Yumotokan?
A.Otsu City's Ogoto Onsen Kanko Park is a minute's walk from Yumotokan.
Q.Is there anywhere in Kyoto Station where I can leave my baggage?
A.There is a short-term baggage room inside Kyoto Station. Visit the following URL for more details.
Q.Are yukatas easy to put on?
A.We'll give you a leaflet when you arrive explaining how to put on your yukata. Please feel free to ask our staff if you have any questions.
Q.How can I get to Yumotokan from Kyoto Station?
A.Please take the JR Kosei Line from platform No.3 at Kyoto Station. Take the local Kosei Line train and alight at Ogoto Onsen Station, the fifth station from Kyoto. It takes approx. 20 minutes.
